Born in 1952 to educated immigrant parents from Brazil, Mascarenhas reflects a rich tapestry of influences in their work. With 12 years of classical piano studies, a 32-year medical career as an MD specializing in Anesthesiology and Trauma, and a later Master’s in Fine Art Practice, their creative expression draws from a diverse background.
