James Sullivan, of Dallas, Texas, earned his MFA in sculpture at California State University, Long Beach and his BA in Philosophy at Yale University.  He is well known for his remarkable cast sculptures and is also a printmaker who uses printmaking media to explore unseen spaces and shapes that are often difficult to see.  Sullivan pushes the boundaries of methods and processes to capture ideas about mass, space, and light and is an international exhibiting artist, educator and visual arts leader.
