Sandra C. Fernández is an Ecuadorian American artist whose work is rooted in her multicultural heritage and life journey. Sandra's practice grows out of the experiences of migration and resilience that have shaped her, and she views art as a way of weaving together stories of identity, belonging, and memory. Her prints at Flatbed Press include the Cellular Memory series and works such as Cruzado (settled in) and Mojándose (crossing) II, which explore the physical and emotional experience of crossing borders and building a life between cultures.
